About this page. A single media module from ButterflyDreaming, running on its own. A sustained sample is chopped into grains, and an L-system walk steers them: the walk's height sets their pitch and the length of its horizontal runs sets their size. Edit the script and the drone follows; move a stepper and the script follows back. Copy script takes the whole thing to your clipboard — where it goes after that is yours to decide, e.g. paste it back in the future to restore a past pattern.
Every bundled sample is CC0, and
sources/SOURCES.md records where each came from, what was done to
it and how to rebuild it.
ButterflyDreaming is a collaborative arts-therapy and peer-counselling system: a corpus of literature, art and music that anonymous users may collage together in conversation. This module is one of its parts, extracted so that anyone can play with it, and so that a developer can see what a module has to do.
